The Dog Food Can in Nintendogs shows a Dachshund and the word "Cheer" printed on it.

Wet Food in Nintendogs + Cats has a dachshund on it as well, only the words "Wet Food" are printed on rather than "Cheer". Wet Food should only be given in moderation; too much can make a puppy gain weight, making it unsuccessful in competitions. However, it can be useful in helping Skinny or Underfed dogs gain weight.

Since prices vary each time the player visits the Discount Shop, the Dog Food Can can range from $1.50 - $3. It sells for $1.20 at the Secondhand Shop.

In Nintendogs + Cats, Wet Food can be purchased at the menu BARC for $5 after reaching 850 Owner Points or playing for 6 days. It sells for $2 at the Secondhand Shop.
