The Nintendogs trading cards were a series of collectible cards based on the original Nintendogs franchise which released in 2005 and sold until approximately 2011. They were licensed by Nintendo and produced by Enterplay LLC.

History[]

In late 2005, the Nintendo corporation's American branch released its first series of collectible Nintendogs trading card packs, with designs based on the cover art of the three available US versions: Chihuahua & Friends, Dachshund & Friends, and Labrador & Friends.

By 2006, Nintendo released a wave of Series 2 Nintendogs trading cards in response to positive sales. This took place after the release of Dalmatian & Friends, and featured designs based on its cover art as well as art of the Beagle and Pug recycled from the Nintendogs instruction manuals.
