The Pair of Star Sunglasses/Star Shades (Japanese: スターメガネ Sutāmegane) is an item in Nintendogs and Nintendogs + Cats that falls under the category of Accessories in the Supplies. It is a type of eyewear the player can put on their pet.
In Nintendogs, the Pair of Star Sunglasses was available exclusively through the Tricks and Treats promotion in North America.

Beginning a few days before Halloween in 2005, using Bark Mode at a participating GameStop store would result in a gift of Pair of Star Sunglasses from Hailey Duff's Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Bentley—with a White Record message from her saying, "Hi, I'm Hailey Duff. My Nintendog Bentley has a special gift for you. Have fun playing Nintendogs!". The event lasted until the middle of 2007.

The Star Shades are available to purchase at Coletta for $14 after reaching 6,000 Owner Points or playing for 23 days. It can also be obtained via the Pedometer after 10,000 steps. It sells for $6 at the Secondhand Shop.

- This is one of the few accessories not to be available in the Japanese version.
- Because of how rare this item is, it ranks up as high as the Jack Russell Book even though the sunglasses aren't found on walks at all.
