Inside the Secondhand Shop in Nintendogs

The Secondhand Shop (Mr. Recycle in Nintendogs + Cats) (Japanese: リサイクルショップ Risaikurushoppu) is a shop where the player is able to sell items that are not needed. However, items are sold for slightly less than the selling price at Pet Supply. In the original game, Care Books, the White Record, and the Modern Clock cannot be sold.

The Secondhand Shop returns in Nintendogs + Cats, this time, as a recycle shop. Roberto runs the shop and the player can not only sell items found on walks, but also exchange materials for exclusive items.

Materials like Metal, Wood, Leather, Plastic, Rubber, and Stardust are all exchangeable for Furniture, Accessories, and some Records. They can be found in presents while walking with a dog, whether it's a regular walk or pedometer. They cannot be sold for money.
