The Mario Kart (Japanese: マリオカート Mariokāto) is an item in Nintendogs and Nintendogs + Cats that falls under the category of Toys in the Supplies. It is a remote control kart with Mario at the controls.
Puppies are usually curious about this toy; they can be seen sniffing, pawing and barking playfully at it. They also enjoy chasing it around. However, if the player drives the Mario Kart into them too many times, Trainer/Owner Points will be lost and puppies will become permanently scared of the toy.
In Nintendogs, the Mario Kart is one of three karts available in the game, the other two being the Bowser Kart and Peach Kart.
In Nintendogs + Cats, it is also one of three karts, only the Bowser Kart has been replaced by the Yoshi Kart.
