Dry Food (Japanese: ドライフード Doraifūdo) is an item in Nintendogs and Nintendogs + Cats that falls under the category of "Care" in the Supplies. It serves as the basic default food for puppies. In Nintendogs + Cats, there is a cat version of this food.
In Nintendogs, the food is in a tall, red upside-down trapezoid bag. In Nintendogs + Cats, the dog food is placed in a large blue bag with a picture of a small German shepherd sitting under the orange-outlined words, "Dry Food".

How to Obtain[]
- In Nintendogs, Dry Food is available at the start and can be purchased from Pet Supply for $1.50. It can also be purchased from the Discount Shop. Since prices vary each time the player visits the Discount Shop, Dry Food can range from $0.70 - $1.50. It sells for $0.60 at the Secondhand Shop.
- In Nintendogs + Cats, Dry Food can be purchased at BARC for $3 and sells for $1 at the Secondhand Shop.
