The Checked Ribbon/Red-Checkered Bow (Japanese: チェックのリボン Chekku no ribon), an item in Nintendogs and Nintendogs + Cats that falls under the category of Accessories in the Supplies. It is a headgear accessory that the player can put on their pet.
In the 3DS version, there is also a blue counterpart.

- In Nintendogs, the Checked Ribbon can be obtained by finding it uncommonly on walks as a present. It sells at the Secondhand Shop for $4.
- In Nintendogs + Cats, the Red-Checkered Bow is exclusive to Toy Poodle & Friends and can be purchased at Coletta. In other versions, it can be obtained via StreetPass or the Pedometer after 2,000-2,999 steps. It sells for $3 at the Secondhand Shop.
