- In Nintendogs, the Black Leather Collar is available for purchase at the beginning of the game. It costs $10 at Pet Supply and sells for $4 at the Secondhand Shop.
- In Nintendogs + Cats, it can be purchased at Coletta for $12. It can also be found commonly as a present on walks down the Neighborhood Route. Lastly, it can be obtained via the Pedometer after 4,000-4,999 steps. It sells for $5 at the Secondhand Shop.
