So, the instructions for the pedomater say close your ds. do they mean shut it but leave the game playing, or turn in off?
They mean you have to leave the game as it is (so leave the game running), and just close your 3DS. It will go into 'sleep mode' and count your steps as you walk :).
So don't turn it off, just close your DS when the instructions appear.
